Time: 10:30am - 1:30pm

Location: Raymond Terrace Senior Citizens Hall

Port Stephens Council brings you a free Motorcycle Safety Workshop facilitated by Survive the Ride Association of NSW.

Whether you're a seasoned rider, just getting started, or returning after a break, don’t miss this opportunity to connect and share experiences with other local motorcyclists to enhance safety across the Hunter.

The workshop will focus on decision making and managing risks when riding and includes:

· adjusting your riding habits to reduce personal risk

· identifying and finding solutions for common and personal challenges

· riding posture for different bike types

· speed management to allow appropriate response to hazards or potential problems

· selecting the safest gear for your ride

This workshop is made possible by funding through the Local Government Road Safety Program.

Frequently asked questions

Will there be food provided?

Yes! Light refreshments will be available.

Do I have to bring my motorbike?

No. This is a non-riding workshop, so you do not need to bring anything in particular - unless you choose to ride to the event, of course!

I cannot attend this workshop - is there another option?

Yes. Port Stephens Council and MidCoast Council are both providing free workshops. There is an identical workshop in Taree on Saturday 10 May. You are welcome to register for the Taree event by finding it here: https://www.midcoast.nsw.gov.au/Get-involved/Whats-on
