About this event

  • Event lasts 45 minutes

Join MPRG Curator Laura Castagnini on an exhibition floor talk to deepen your connection to our current shows: James Tylor: Turrangka...in the shadows, Bruce Nauman: The true artist helps the world by revealing mystic truths and New Wave 25.

A curator’s insight can transform your experience of an exhibition as you look and learn about curatorial thinking, artist insights, and the ideas that shaped each work to bring the show together.

James Tylor: Turrangka...in the shadows examines histories of colonisation and the profound impact on Indigenous cultures. It brings together his unique daguerreotypes, digital photographic series, and hand-made Kaurna cultural objects.

New Wave 25 showcases the works of VCE and VCE VET art, visual art, media arts, fashion, design and technology students within the Mornington Peninsula Shire.

Finally, as part of the National Gallery of Australia’s Sharing the National Collection program, MPRG is displaying a neon artwork by internationally celebrated American artist Bruce Nauman for the next two years.

Don’t miss this chance to dive deeper into the art, ask questions, and engage with the exhibition in a way that’s simply not possible when walking through alone.

It’s the best way to enrich your visit—and it’s completely free!
