OzHarvest’s Nutrition Education and Skills Training (NEST) program is a public health nutrition program that’s an easy and fun way to learn healthy eating habits and how to cook simple meals on a budget in just 6 weeks!
This program will help participants:
• Save money on your food budget
• Store food safely
• Understand food labels
• Plan meals and reduce waste
• Cook easy and healthy recipes
At the final workshop everyone receives a certificate and a take home toolkit, with infographic fact sheets and the OzHarvest Everyday Cookbook packed full of 30 easy,
cheap, healthy and delicious step by step recipes.
Participants MUST be able to attend all 6 sessions on Tuesdays from 11 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. (2.5 hours) for 6 weeks commencing on 17/06/2025 until 22/07/2025.
This program is valued at $242 per person but will be offered FREE to 15 Monash University Students through the Monash Student Association Leadership & Volunteering Department.
Because of limited numbers, we are asking for interested students to complete an expression of interest form. We will be selecting students according to need and ability to attend all 6 classes.
If you have been accepted into the NEST Program, you will be emailed by msa-volunteering@monash.edu and asked to provide extra information. If you do not provide this information during the timeframe listed, your position may be given to another student.
This program is brought to you by OZ Harvest and MSA Leadership & Volunteering.
