About this event

Can you sing you in Mandarin? Are you looking to show off your flamenco skills? Can you recite a poem in Japanese? Whether you are looking to build familiarity with performing in front of others, or have been performing for decades, we would love to witness your talents. Show off your cultural heritage by performing music, poetry, song, a story and more.

You are welcome to register as a performer or as an audience member (or both!)

A sign-up sheet for performers will be available from 5:30pm. We will have a microphone and stand, and musical instruments including a keyboard and a guitar.

We will serve light refreshments from 6pm, and the evening's programs will commence at 6:30pm.

Each performer has up to 10 minutes on stage. We will let you know when you’ve hit the 9 minute mark.

In the spirit of the Emerge Festival, culturally and linguistically diverse performances and group performances are highly encouraged!

Please note: Performers must be at least 13 years old.

We strive to create a safe and inclusive space for all members of our community, and ask that both performers and audience members act in a respectful and conscientious manner. We ask that audience members please do not talk or interrupt the performances.

Due to the age range of performers and audience members, we ask that you be mindful of the use of swear words.

Bookings for our multicultural open mic night are now open!
