Interested in learning how to make your own switch-adapted toys?
Join NAPA's very own switch adapting guru, Occupational Therapist Ali Gebhardt, for an interactive workshop where you will learn to create your own switch adapted toy. On the evening, you will make your very own switch adapted toy which you will be able to take home!
The ticket covers the cost of the workshop, toy (light-up bear or similar), and materials as well as a light supper. Please note that during the workshop you will be given access to NAPA's switches to test your new toy, however you will need to purchase your own switch or utilise your existing switches for this toy. The switch is not included in the session price.
If you would like to switch adapt or ask for advice on another toy, please bring it along to the workshop and Ali may be able to assist or give you advice on the night (time dependant). You will still need to purchase a ticket to the event though and the main focus of the evening will be taking participants through the steps to switch adapt the light-up bear.
Please note this session and information will be directed at parents, therapists and educators and is NOT designed to be a training session for your child. This is a child-free event.
Drinks and nibbles will be served from 6.00pm, with the workshop to commence at 6.30pm.
Please note that this is a NAPA Centre event for members of our extended NAPA community including OT's and Speechies with an interested in learning how to switch.
Bookings are essential. Tickets are non refundable once purchased unless the event is cancelled by the organisers.
