Join acting Curator (Exhibitions), Leah Ferguson for an engaging conversation at the Mornington Peninsula Regional Gallery (MPRG) to explore the National Works on Paper 2024 exhibition.

This event offers a unique opportunity to gain insider knowledge about the diverse range of works from leading Australian artists, all highlighting the expressive potential of paper as a medium.

Learn about themes, techniques, and stories behind selected works, offering insights into the creative processes and contemporary practices showcased in the 2024 rendition of NWOP. Discover more about the works that have been acquired into the MPRG collection.

Please note: On Thursday 21 November, Jacky Cheng will be joining Leah on the floor talk to speak to her stuning work ...that awaits at the end of life, 2022. Jacky is a contemporary artist, a facilitator and an art educator working with fibres, sculpture and installation. She was born in Malaysia of Chinese heritage, received her Bachelor of Architecture (Honours 1) from University of New South Wales, and since 2006, has been based in Broome, Western Australia.

Nuno's Good Food & Southern Hospitality Cafe van will be on site at MPRG, so why not stay on for a coffee and a delicious snack afterwards?!

Mornington Peninsula Regional Gallery is a leading regional gallery. MPRG has a changing exhibition program featuring contemporary artists and many of Australia's most well known artists. The gallery is renowned for its special holdings of works on paper and also holds important historical works that capture the Mornington Peninsula region.

MPRG hosts a range of speical events and workshops for young creatives right through to adults. The Young at Art program introduces toddlers to the world of art. The gallery also hosts school holiday workshops and education programs. MPRG is proud to have artist workshops where attendees can learn new specialist skills such as painting, printmaking, drawing and pottery, exhibition tours, studio visits and artist talks.
