About this event

A ground-breaking project that is the first of its kind, this report examines the experience of LGBTIQ+ people in the transition to parenthood, with a focus on understanding and preventing family violence during this period.

Join us to learn about our unique findings, hear from experts and families, and take a look at our resources. The report, resources and this forum are designed for family violence prevention and intervention workers, the perinatal sector, LGBTIQ+ organisations, LGBTIQ+ families, and anyone interested in the transition to parenthood.

This is a free, online event and will be Auslan interpreted.

This forum is part of Respect Victoria’s research seminar series Building the evidence to stop violence before it starts.

Organised by

The Centre for Family Research and Evaluation is a collaborative, applied research centre. It was established in 2006 as an entity of drummond street services, with aims to bridge the gap between research and practice in family-based programs.
