About this event

  • Event lasts 1 hour 30 minutes

F.W. Murnau's timeless 1922 horror masterpiece, Nosferatu: A Symphony of Horror, is widely regarded to be the first and best vampire film ever made and 102 years on, it can still chill the blood.

Join us in the lead up to Halloween for a screening of this silent cinematic jewel with an original score performed live by composer and multi-instrumentalist, Edwin Montgomery.

Using loop pedals and ghostly distortions, Edwin works with synths, violin, guitar, theremin, mandolin, voice and percussion to create an eerie, and provocative soundscape for this darkly Gothic movie. This is the way Nosferatu should be experienced.

Dress for Halloween and bring someone to hold onto.

The Parallel Effect project works with multidisciplinary artists, scholars, and technologists to produce unique experiences exploring intersectional themes of Climate Change by reimagining multiple plausible alternatives to the “present” we’re living. These alternate realities are designed to transport audiences to a space beyond the normative paradigms of our world where they can contemplate alternative pasts and futures, reclaim and interrogate the histories and realities of today, and imagine possibilities for informed and sustainable interventions in the future.
