Begin your motherhood journey with a supportive mum's group and obtain the knowledge you need for a successful breastfeeding experience.


Sessions will cover:

Introduction to Breastfeeding: ▪ Benefits for mother and baby ▪ Breastfeeding myths and facts ▪ Anatomy and physiology of breastfeeding

Breastfeeding Techniques: ▪ Positioning and latching ▪ Recognizing and responding to hunger cues ▪ Troubleshooting common issues (e.g. sore nipples, low milk supply)

Newborn sleep: ▪ Biologically normal infant sleep ▪ Safe sleep

Realistic Expectations: ▪ What does your family expect of the new baby and of you? ▪ What do you expect from your partner when your baby arrives/from yourself/from your other children? ▪ What can make the expectations realistic?

Support Networks: ▪ Identifying and accessing community resources ▪ Role of partners and family in supporting breastfeeding
