About this event
The Japan Foundation, Sydney will offer five types of sessions for enhancing skills in ICT. Please take this opportunity to challenge yourself to use applications you have been hesitant to try, or if you have been wanting to try but felt too late to ask. We encourage you to try any sessions that look appealing or stir your curiosity after reading the session description. The sessions are structured so that the applications can be learned in just one session. Each session will be conducted online and run approximately 60-90 minutes. We look forward to your participation!
ICT Session 2 (60 min)
“Create an automatically-scoring quiz using Google Forms!”
In this workshop, you will learn how to use the following functions in Google Forms:
1) Create a quiz form with various patterns such as multiple choice and short answer questions
2) Create a quiz form implementing images and/or video
3) Automatically collect data of the class’s average score and create graphs based on number of correct and incorrect answers
4) Navigate how students can easily review their score and their incorrect answers
With these functions, creating, scoring and collecting data can be made easy and efficient. Beginners to Google Forms are welcome to participate.
This session will be delivered in simple Japanese.
By Shunsuke Hirakawa, Language Consultant
Sessoin Requirement:
A Google Account in order to access Google Drive.
Note:
Each session will not be limited to learning about the ICT tools, however, there will be practical components of using the tool to develop sample resources. You will each be developing sample resources modelling a JPF resource or creating a resource that is appropriate for use in your class. Participants will be provided with all materials required to create the sample resource (e.g. images, audio, etc.).
While the sessions do not specify the school stage of intended learners, prepared sample resources will demonstrate target stage groups such as primary or junior secondary
After participating in the workshop, please re-create your resources to adjust your class and stage. Please be advised that the aim of this ICT session is primarily to focus on how to create digital resources using applications, rather than sharing classroom resources specifically for your class.
A certificate will be given to participants upon completion of a sample task during or after the session. You must submit your task in order to receive the certificate.
