This Continuing Professional Development (CPD) Day is presented by the Western Sydney Local Health District Oral Health Services.
The Programme
The Continuing Professional Development (CPD) Day caters to all staff involved in Oral Health services, including those in public, private, or academic settings.
The day commences with four presentations crafted to resonate with every attendee, covering fundamental topics aimed at professional growth and development. These sessions provide a solid foundation for the rest of the day's activities, ensuring that everyone is equipped with valuable insights and updates. In the afternoon, this event offers parallel sessions, allowing participants to delve deeper into specific areas of interest.
All presentations throughout the day are aligned with the CPD requirements for national registration, as outlined in the Dental Board of Australia's Guidelines on continuing professional development. This ensures that attendees not only gain valuable knowledge and skills but also fulfill their professional obligations for ongoing education.
By participating in this CPD Day, attendees can earn up to 6 CPD hours, reflecting the commitment of organisers to provide a comprehensive and rewarding learning experience that directly contributes to the advancement of professional standards in Oral Health.
Attendance Eligibility and Fees
NSW Public Service Oral Health: There is no fee for staff in Western Sydney LHD Oral Health.
Staff from other LHDs & Sydney Dental School Teaching Staff: There is a small fee of $150.00 for attendees from other LHDs and Sydney Faculty of Dentistry.
Private Practitioners and Dental Assistants: Private practitioners are welcome to attend (limited numbers). The cost for a Clinician is $480.00 and Dental Assistant is $250.00.
