For the first time ever, The Music Institute founders Chez Damier and Alton Miller will perform vocals from their own vast, iconic house music catalogues, amongst other legendary tracks and new music.

During the 1980’s in Detroit's vibrant heart, The Music Institute earned its place as a cornerstone in the history of dance and electronic music. The Music Institute was more than just a club. It became a creative sanctuary for pioneering artists, and a host of influential DJs and producers.

They didn't just play music; they created a revolutionary movement that echoed far beyond Detroit's borders. The Music Institute serves as a testament to the transformative power of music and the spirit of innovation forever ingrained in the cultural fabric of not only Detroit but Dance Music around the world, with cultural imprints and sounds that continue today to echo and reverberate across dance floors, contributing significantly to the history of Black Dance Music.

Chez Damier and Alton Miller played pivotal roles in shaping the identity of the club by providing a platform for various forms of art, fashion, dancing and Dance Music, including electronic sounds that defined Techno and House Music. In this rare event, their DJ performances capture the essence of The Music Institute's “journey DJ” experience for an eight hour long set.

Paradiso’s minimalist interiors blend Mediterranean and Japanese influence with a meticulously designed sound system, setting the stage for live selector performances from locals and internationals artists.
