Join Parlour and the Melbourne School of Design for a salon-style conversation with artist and designer Catherine Griffiths, within the space of the exhibition Catherine Griffiths: Out of Line.

This intimate conversation will explore the commitments, concerns and contexts that motivate Catherine’s extraordinary body of work and its engagement with public life. Catherine has collaborated with Parlour since its inception in 2012, and her work has been fundamental to the its impact and activity. This thought-provoking discussion is an opportunity to delve into the larger context of her practice, advocacy and activism, while surrounded by her work.

As with all Parlour events, this session is also an opportunity for convivial connection and meaningful engagement between and among attendees.

Don’t miss this opportunity to engage with ideas that challenge conventions and expand perspectives on design.

Experience design as a force for connection and storytelling in this engaging series. Hosted by the Melbourne School of Design and the Faculty of Fine Arts and Music at the University of Melbourne and Parlour, these events and exhibitions celebrate creative innovation in design and its impact on place and community.

Justine Clark is an architectural editor, writer, researcher, advisor and advocate. She is a co-founder and director of Parlour: gender, equity, architecture and an honorary Principal Fellow at the University of Melbourne.
