Ocean Crusaders are heading to Sydney for a mega clean up of the Parramatta River, around the Sydney Showgrounds area, in the lead up to Christmas.
Courtesy of a partnership with Clima's Impact Campaign, the Royal Easter Show are funding this particular day. We will be in Sydney from the 28th November to 5th December cleaning for different organisations with some events hardcore and others our community Paddle Against Plastic. We also have 2 mega corporate days on the 5th & 12th December if your company wants to be involved.
This particular day is a Hardcore Clean Up Day. These are notorious for collecting massive amounts of debris. It's hard yakka and you need to be ready to get in the mangroves and bushes and pull out all sorts of items. You will come out muddy, wet and exhausted, but totally satisified that you have made a difference for our marine environment.
You need to wear clothes that cover you from top to tail. Long pants, sleeves, hat and gumboots are the recommended footwear of choice.
You need to book a ticket on Eventbrite in order to secure one of the 4 tickets available.
Meet at the Silverwater Boat Ramp at 0800. We'll be back around 1300. BYO water and lunch in a single use plastic free way.
