Piedmont Wine & Truffle Tour

Ethereal Wines’ next food & wine tour of Piedmont is our sixth edition of these tours – which commenced in 2018.

By way of background, Ethereal Wines is an importer of artisan wines from France & Italy – specialising in the wines of Piedmont. We in fact work with 21 wineries from Piedmont including some of its most iconic producers.

For us Piedmont (Piemonte in Italian) is Italy’s greatest vinous & gastronomic hotspot. It’s also postcard beautiful with its mountainous landscapes.

The tours have been a tremendous success over the years with numerous parties returning for 3 consecutive tours (some testimonials can be found further below).

The November tour in 2024 is the very first time we have run a tour during truffle season. It also includes a truffle hunt for Alba white truffle – the most sought after & revered truffles on earth.

Piedmont is Italy’s second largest province & home arguably to Italy’s most revered winemaking terroirs – Barolo & Barbaresco.

For the majority of the tour the group is based in beautiful Alba at the Hotel Calissano. The Hotel Calissano in our opinion is the best Hotel in central Alba. We have been staying at this hotel every year since 2011 & the service and hospitality there is second to none.
