Plant Propagation
Come along and learn the art of plant propagation, a handy skill for any enthusiast and ideal for the home gardener, wildlife carer or foodie!

This workshop will be run as a beginner’s course on how to make more plants from the ones you already have and the best way you can expand your garden for no cost or just share plants in your community. You will see how to grow new plants from cuttings, divide clumps, runners and how to use techniques such as wounding and layering.

Come to this workshop run by Community Environment Centre volunteers and plant enthusiasts Tim and Claude, to learn and practice plant propagation skills. There will be cuttings, pots, and rooting mix available to start new plants to take home!

Location and Parking: The Community Environment Centre is located on Currie Avenue of Annangrove Road, Annangrove. The Centre is found at the rear of Annangrove Park in the car park. The workshop will be conducted outside in the gardens in good weather or otherwise inside Annangrove Hall next to the centre.

What to Bring: Please bring along pen and paper if you wish to take notes. You are welcome to bring your own seeds and cuttings. You are encouraged to bring along reusable items such as supermarket meat trays for cuttings and large soft drink bottles for pot covers. Please bring your own secateurs to use on the day if you can.

Important Information: Workshops are only available to residents of The Hills Shire. Please note a ticket must be booked per person that attends. One ticket can’t be used for multiple people e.g. a family. This workshop is recommended for adults, families, and children over 5 years.
