Supervision Training - "Person-Centered Supervision: Applying CCPT principles to Supervisees”

Description: The training explores the application of Virginia Axline's 8 basic principles for Child-Centered Play Therapy, adapting them to the supervisor-supervisee relationship. Participants will learn how these principles can be used to foster growth in supervisees, inform case conceptualization, and enhance both the supervision process and client work. The workshop aims to create a person-centered approach to supervision that aligns with the core tenets of CCPT, focusing on self of the therapist and a growth promoting environment.
- Analyze how Axline's 8 basic principles of CCPT can be applied to the supervision process
- Demonstrate the ability to facilitate reflective practices that promote the supervisee's internal growth and understanding of their "self as therapist."
- Evaluate supervisee progress and areas for development growth objectives informed by Axline’s principles
- Synthesize CCPT principles with supervision practices to create comprehensive case conceptualizations for both the supervision process and client work.
