Venue: Building 3 Lions Community Hall, 8 Russell Drysdale St

East Gosford (entrance at the rear of the building)

Playing with Multi Plates

In this one day workshop with Janine Debenham, you will learn how to develop different plates to make more than one colour print. While time does not allow us to make more than 2 you can learn the principle behind layering plates. (we will concentrate on intaglio not relief plates). You may have old plates that you can work with as well, so consider bringing those.

We will look at registration of multi plates. Inking the plates, using colour rolls, appropriate papers for different plates and more.

You will choose from a variety of matrix’ - aluminium plates, cardboard plates, drypoint plates, and carborundum.- depending on your design, drawing, idea

This is a day or play.

All materials supplied.

Allocated 2 sheets of quality printing paper. ( bring more if you want or more is available for purchase at the studio.)

Morning tea and coffee supplied.

Wear covered shoes.

Do not come if you are unwell.

What you should bring:

Ideas, drawing, photos, sketch book

Apron

Extra paper if you wish

Your enthusiasm.

You will need to wear closed in shoes while working in the studio for work health & safety reasons.
