About Dr Chris Ringrose
Chris Ringrose graduated from Cambridge with a BA in English Literature. He did his MA at the University of Alberta and won a Canada Council Doctoral Fellowship to do his PhD at Alberta, researching the development of Victorian Autobiography. He is currently Adjunct Associate Professor of English at Monash University in Melbourne.
His poetry has won awards in England, Canada and Australia, and he has published critical work on modern fiction, literary theory and children’s literature. He is the co-editor of the Journal of Postcolonial Writing, a poetry reviewer for the Australian Poetry Journal, and one of the judges for the Williamstown Literary Festival Writing Prizes. He edits the book series Studies in World Literature for Columbia University Press. His most recent books are a collection of poems, Palmistry (ICoE Press, 2019) and Creative Lives (Columbia University Press, 2021), interviews with eighteen South Asian writers.
