Colour, shape, pattern, perfume… plants use a range of signals to attract their preferred pollinators. In a short workshop, you will learn about the spectrum of enticements, and the ways flowers reward their visitors. Afterwards, in an easy walk in the Botanic Gardens, you will test your powers of observation! A magnifying glass will be useful.
Requirements:
This walk requires average physical activity, including walking distances up to 500m, possibly some uneven ground but mainly paved paths. Stops are short and mainly for guide explanations. Some short standing periods or sitting if required.
Please wear a hat, enclosed walking shoes, and be sure to bring a water bottle and sunscreen.
Meeting point: Meet at the Visitor Information Centre.
