If you have a current Medicare card this class will be free. Please note if you are asked for payment, please contact North Metropolitan Health Services (08) 6457 7991 and report any suspicious activity.
PLEASE NOTE: For safety and insurance reasons, there can be no entry to the pool until 4pm when the physiotherapist is poolside. Access to the change rooms will be from 3.45pm only. If this is your first session please arrive at 3.45pm for a safety discussion prior to the commencement of class.
During this class our physiotherapist will guide you with safe exercises to improve your strength, flexibility and muscle tone.
This class is only available for women who are giving birth at King Edward Memorial Hospital or Osborne Park Hospital and have a valid Medicare card. There is no charge for the class, however, there is an entry fee to the pool at Lord's Recreation Centre.
When you attend your first class, you will need to bring a consent form signed by your doctor or midwife stating that your pregnancy is low risk and it is safe for you to exercise. Copies of this form are available in the KEMH Antenatal Clinics, Family Birth Centre, from your OPH Women's Health Physiotherapist or from the link above.
PLEASE NOTE: Participation is not allowed if you don't bring this completed form to your first class. This must be printed and handed to the Physiotherapist before you can enter the pool. You must bring a valid Eventbrite confirmation ticket to every class which must be shown at reception for entry.
Please ensure you cancel your booking if you are unable to attend, to allow others to participate, as numbers are restricted. If you book and do not attend twice without cancelling, you will be ineligible to take part in future sessions.
If you do not have a valid Medicare card you will be charged $380 to attend this session.
