Preparing for graduation and your future job search needs to start early. Join us, and your fellow commencing students, for an exciting event that will help you prepare for your future career! This event will take place in week 3 and will support all students starting out at Deakin this trimester.
Our event will cover a range of topics, including:
• Work Integrated Learning (WIL) placements
• Preparing and planning for your WIL placement units
• Building employability skills
• Finding part time work.
You'll also have the chance to meet and socialise with the Faculty of Science Engineering and Built Environment (SEBE) Peer Mentors and also have the unique opportunity to hear from your peers who have recently completed a placement unit or currently working towards completing their placement, all about their experience and tips on how they went about preparing and finding their placements.
