Topics covered in this course
Definitions
By the end of the workshop, participants will have discovered their own state of mind and emotions that need to be considered in the problem solving and decision process. Participants will deconstruct different elements of a challenge, applying them to a practical case study.
Making Decisions
In this phase, participants can go deeper into the decision-making process by looking at decision types; they will learn what is a fact and what is data, and how to use a variety of frameworks in decision-making.
Getting Real
Participants will understand their approaches to problem solving better because of the pre assignment, where they could assess and improve their approach when confronted with the challenge.
The Problem Solving Model
Today you will be introduced to a three part model that can be used to successfully handle issues. You will have an occasion to try out this model with some made-up case studies that will all come together nicely!
The Problem Solving Toolkit
And now, we’re going to swim around seven instruments to solutions! These tools will help you to conquer the hardest problems of all. These include two levels of service as operations analysis techniques, and then further tools such as brainstorming and brain writing, thinking techniques that can assist you while confronting difficult issues. Here we go!

In this session, you will learn how to provide your organization with a vital tool to overcome business challenges. By the end of it, you will understand how to use SWOT analysis to sustainably affect change!

Participants will learn the ins and outs of group process so that they will be able to ‘solve any problem’ together.
Analysing and Selecting Solutions
This is a workshop where we’re going to put our minds on one of the key features of problem solving, which is: decision-making. Welcome to this model. We’re going to dig even deeper to uncover ways to be successful!
Planning and Organising
This course offers participants an opportunity to explore and enhance their problem solving abilities.
You will learn about organisation, planning and follow-up, goal-setting addressing barriers, thorough analysis of results, adaptation in accordance with changes and celebrating each success!
