Professor Kim Cunio will talk about combining the notion of outer and inner study as part of his recent sabbatical. This will be a chance to hear some of his musical project work as well as meditate together for our inner journey. We ask and answer the question, what is worldly ambition without a spiritual ambition?
Professor Kim Cunio, Head of the School of Music (2019-2023) at the Australian National University (ANU), and incoming Head of the New Zealand School of Music (2024-), is a composer, performer and researcher interested in old and new music and the role of music in making sense of our larger world. Kim is a Grammy Long listed composer and recipient of the ABC Golden Manuscript Award. Kim’s compositions have been played at the White House, United Nations, and concerts and festivals in many countries. Kim’s inner life is important to him and he has been a meditator with the Brahma Kumaris for nearly 30 years.
