Nitrous Oxide sedation or Relative Analgesia remains a very useful tool in managing pain and anxiety in dental patients. This full day course will cover the pharmacology of nitrous oxide, communication in pain and anxiety management, and the art of administering RA for dentistry.
Participants will be given an opportunity to administer nitrous oxide sedation to each other, and to experience themselves the effects of RA. The current standards in armamentarium will be covered, and course notes will be provided.

Dr Cheng Yee RossiterBDS, FRACDS, GradDip (Oral Surgery), GradDipClinDent (Conscious Sedation & Pain Management)
Dr Rossiter spent the early part of his career as a fleet dentist with the Royal Australian Navy. He has been a private general practitioner in Chatswood NSW since the year 2000. His special interests are in Oral Surgery, Sedation and Pain Management. Currently Dr Rossiter provides dental treatment under general anaesthesia through private hospitals and is part of the academic staff in the Department of Oral Surgery, Faculty of Dentistry at the University of Sydney. He is an Honorary Dental Officer for the Oral Surgery Unit at Westmead Centre for Oral Health, and is also a member of the Australian Society of Dental Anaesthesiology.
