About this event

Description

ACD wants to hear from families raising a child with developmental concerns, delay, or disability aged 0-12, who have participated in early childhood intervention.

This may include working with therapists, such as speech therapists or occupational therapists to help promote your child’s development.

A review of best practice in early childhood intervention is being undertaken by a consortium led by the University of Melbourne and funded by the Australian Government Department of Social Services. Hearing from families is an important part of the review.

The review will produce a new best practice framework, resources, and tools. These will help practitioners, professionals, and families ensure children with developmental concerns, delay, or disability have the best possible start in life.

As part of the review, there have already been consultations with families, communities, and early childhood practitioners across Australia, and a best practice framework has been drafted. ACD is holding this session to hear what families think about it.

You can read about the review here: ECI Review | Healthy Trajectories | A Child and Youth Disability Research Hub Healthy Trajectories (healthy-trajectories.com.au)
