A backyard ultra is a running event like no other.

The format involves runners completing a 6.71km course every hour, on the hour, until they are not able to continue.It’s an event that is gaining increasing popularity as more and more runners challenge themselves mentally and physically, hour after hour, seeing how far they can go.

It’s also an event that has some unique considerations for performance optimisation, injury prevention and nutrition and we invite you to attend an exclusive workshop hosted by human repair shop physiotherapists and Lisa, nutritionist, who have first hand experience with backyard ultras.

As the partner physiotherapist for I’m Still Standing, backyard ultra, Orla and the team at human repair shop, helped many runners leading up to the event and onsite providing invaluable support to runners to help them push their limits.

As an experienced ultrarunner and nutritionist, Lisa understands how important nutrition is not only to keep you going hour after hour, but also how to optimise your nutrition to help you recover from your training and get you to that start line.

This session also provide an opportunity for participants to pose any questions they may have to a physiotherapist, aiding them in improving their running performance; and a nutritionist to help you feel stronger, more energised and focussed on recovery from your running.
