Join Bronwen Smith and Gavin Chatfield, co-founders of Gwiyaala Aboriginal Art, for a small group three-hour art workshop. Attendees will focus on painting their story, through which they can feel connected to their own heritage or personal journey while learning about the traditions and techniques of contemporary Aboriginal art. As part of the process the workshops aim to provide an opportunity for attendees to paint about the impact of the 2019 bushfires, with the intent of a creative healing experience.
These workshops are designed to be filmed and archived for future story telling. This will be at participants discretion.
Funding for these workshops is through a Fire and Flourish grant.
