Saumarez Homestead Garden Visit
Indulge your senses in the picturesque gardens surrounding Saumarez Homestead, which comes alive in spring with swathes of bulbs, cottage flowers and wisteria. In early summer, masses of roses bloom in the Heritage Rose Garden, managed in collaboration with the Australian Garden History Society, contrasting against the big New England skies. Rich autumn colour abounds with the exotic and heritage trees.
For glimpses of life in a bygone era when Saumarez was self-sufficient, explore the outbuildings - complete with 19th century tools and equipment - at your leisure.
House tours available
Book a House Tour and Garden Visit ticket to gain access to the elegant and extensive period-furnished two-storey mansion - an incredible time capsule of family life, largely untouched since the Edwardian era. Entry to the gardens included.
You will be asked to present your ticket at point of entry. You can do this by either printing a copy or displaying a digital version on your selected device.
