Schools Standing Up to Racism Full Day Session

The Schools Standing Up to Racism session is a one-day professional learning opportunity designed to support school staff in addressing racism and promoting a culturally sustaining school environment. This one-day event empowers educators, school leaders and support staff with practical tools that value and engage students from diverse cultural backgrounds.

Through workshops, real-world scenarios and reflective activities, participants will explore key concepts related to culture, identity, and proactive anti-racism strategies. The day’s content encourages educators to reflect on their own worldviews and institutional practices, with the aim of fostering positive, inclusive learning environments that build on the existing strengths of the school community.

This session will be held at the Victorian Academy of Teaching and Leadership,
36 Camp Street, Ballarat, on Thursday 5th June.

Each session will be able to accommodate 27 school staff. Places at sessions will be charged at $480 pp (incl GST).
