What activities will there be?

We will be holding 3 workshops for each groups which are (1) Dragsters workshop, (2) VEX IQ robotics coding, and (3) LEGO workshop.

The target audience is students aged 8 - 12 years old. Each workshop will be 90 minutes in length with a lunch break midway through the event.

Where will the workshops be held?

The workshops will be held in-person at The University of Auckland Engineering Building - Unleash Space (20 Symonds Street, Auckland, Auckland, 1010). Entry is through the Engineering building's Symonds Street entrance.

Question 3

What are my transport/parking options for getting to and from the event?

Parking instructions as well as directions to the room will be released closer to the event day.

What if my child has accessibility requirements?

Robogals aims to have this event as inclusive as possible. The Unleash Space has ramp access and all workshops are designed to cater to everyone's diverse needs. If you have any questions or concerns regarding your child's accessibility requirements, please contact auckland.president@robogals.org.

Will I need to be there to supervise my child?

Robogals ensures all our volunteers are trained to handle children. Parents can drop-off & pick-up their children at the start & end of the event, but are  welcome to stay and supervise. Please note registration for this event indicates parental consent is given. Ticket purchases are only for kids.

Will food be provided?

Accepted Answer

Robogals wants to ensure the safety of all of our attendees. Due to concerns with allergies and other dietary restrictions, we will not be providing attendees with lunch. Please ensure your child has a packed lunch with them.

Consent to media release and photos

Accepted Answer

Photos will be taken during the SED event to document and promote the occasion. Attendees will have the option to provide or withhold consent for their images or recordings to be used in university publications, social media, and other promotional material.
