About this event

Sculptures in the Garden is an annual sculpture exhibition, taking place in the vineyard and gardens of Rosby in Mudgee. The beautiful rural property and lush gardens of Rosby will be transformed into a sculpture park over two weeks, featuring sculptures by established and emerging artists from across Australia.

The 2024 exhibition will run for 16 days, opening on Saturday the 12th of October and closing on Sunday the 27th of October, featuring over 260 sculptures for sale.

Every Day:

  • Gates open daily from 10am to 4pm
  • Over 260 sculptures and outdoor artworks by local, regional and interstate artists.
  • Indulge in delicious food by Mudgee Corner Store every day (all day weekends, 10am - 2.30pm weekdays)
  • Explore the Rosby Cellar Door Bar
  • Entry: $5.00 per person (Children attend for free)

Each Weekend:

  • Sculpture Demonstrations & Childrens sculpture workshops
  • Live music by musician Matt Boylan-Smith & friends

Food & coffee will be available for purchase from the Mudgee Corner Store throughout each day of the event. The Rosby Wine bar will be open for the duration serving their much loved wines, and live music will be provided by Matt Boylan-Smith. Whether you’re an art-enthusiast or just looking to spend some time in Mudgee, Sculptures in the Garden is a brilliant day out with something for everyone.

Entry for kids is free! We also have a special kids exhibition showcasing young talent in the region.

Proceeds from the exhibition go towards the Mudgee Support Group of Guide Dogs NSW/ACT and a local arts initiative to create a sculpture walk in Mudgee and public art throughout the Mid-Western region.

PLEASE NOTE: No dogs are allowed at Sculptures in the Garden. Avoid disappointment and leave your dogs at home. Service Dogs accepted.

IMPORTANT INFORMATION FOR THE PUBLIC

  • Disabled parking facilities are available on site. Parking is actively managed due to the rural setting so please talk to a parking attendant on entry and you will be guided to the relevant spaces.
  • The event is an all-weather event so visitors should wear appropriate clothing and sun protection.
  • The SIG site is on a working, rural property and visitors should take care when walking around the event site, especially in relation to any wildlife that may be encountered.
  • All visitors should take care in the proximity of artworks and not touch, climb on or handle the artworks.
  • Children under 15 years of age should be accompanied by an adult at all times while attending the event.
  • Sculptures in the Garden or Rosby Wines and Guesthouse will not be liable for any injury or loss that may result from attending the event.

Frequently asked questions

Can I bring my dog?

Unfortunately, no dogs are allowed. The only exception to this rule is for the visually impaired who require a Service Dog.

Can I come out to Rosby to see and buy sculptures before the exhibition is open?

If you sign up to become a ‘Friends of SIG’ you will have the opportunity to see the exhibition the night before it opens to the general public.

What time do the gates open?

Gates open 10am each day until 4pm.

Can we bring a bus to Rosby and will there be adequate parking?

Yes. Buses welcome

Will food be available to purchase?

Yes. Food will be available every day of the exhibition.
