Join us for a laid-back Sunday afternoon at the Maroochy Botanic Garden.

Secret Garden is a bimonthly event featuring local musicians, performing amongst the granduer of gumtrees. It's like a big community picnic - family friendly, super relaxed and a lovely way to wind down at the end of the weekend.

For Mother's Day Sunday 11th May, get ready to enjoy the musical gifts of:

Neish - emerging singer/songwriter delivers vulernable lyricism through a voice that will give you shivers.

Lizzy Lamborn - local guitarist/singer/songwriter

Gather your favourite friends, pack a picnic and enjoy the Secret Garden. BYO picnic including chairs or rug, leaving only footprints and taking only memories (no rubbish bins provided).

Tickets strictly limited due to Botanic Garden carpark capacity.

Frequently asked questions

Is it wheelchair accessible?

Yes. Use priority parking at the bottom of the Botanic Garden carpark. The event is located across the lagoon via concrete and compacted gravel pathways. If you have any concerns or require assistance, please contact the organisers.

Is there food or drink available to purchase?

No. Please bring your own food and water for this outdoor picnic-style event.

Are domestic animals allowed?

No. The Botanic Garden is a conservation area, home to many species including koalas. Domestic pets are prohibited. Qualified and accredited Assistance Dogs are permitted and must show documentation upon arrival.

What if it rains?

If it's just a light sprinkle, please bring umbrellas and coats to keep comfortable. In the event of a deluge, organisers will postpone the event and inform ticketholders by email. If you can't make the new date, you can request a refund.

I booked a ticket and can no longer attend. Can I get a refund?

We get it, plans change. If you can no longer attend and make contact within 48hrs of the event you are eligible for a refund. Please note, the booking fee will be retained. Either send a request via your Eventbrite account or get in touch: evc@sunshinecoast.qld.gov.au

Can I bring alcohol?

This is a family-friendly event held in a public space, so please don't bring alcohol.
