About this event

  • Event lasts 1 hour 30 minutes

Does your dog have big feelings about the world?
Are they reactive or fearful of certain things?
Perhaps they get a bit worried about new situations or people?

If this sounds like your dog, then this seminar is for you!

Our experienced trainers will discuss what reactive behaviour may look like (e.g. barking, lunging or snapping) and some of the common causes of these behaviours (e.g. other dogs, strangers, unexpected noises, fast moving vehicles or other animals).

We can understand why reactivity occurs, but then also need strategies to help dogs cope in these environments.

Join our FREE information session to learn useful techniques to manage reactive behaviours, leading to you and your dog feeling calmer, safer and more confident when out together or relaxing at home.

Frequently asked questions

Can I bring my dog?

While we would LOVE to meet your dog, this seminar is for people only. It is unfair to expect dogs to sit still in a busy place for long periods of time and you'll get the most out of attending if you can focus 100% on the information being presented.

Will there be time for questions?

The seminar will last approximately 1 to 1.25 hours, with dedicated time afterwards for a Q&A session with the presenting trainers.

Who is presenting the seminar?

This seminar is being presented by our qualified dog trainers, Petra (Project Officer) and Tilly (Beach Education Officer). Petra is a Certified Applied Animal Behaviourist with a PhD in dog behaviour and welfare, and Tilly has a BSc. (Animal Behaviour).
