Setting Workshop at 1UP

Have you always wanted to learn how to set your own climbs? Maybe you're interested in becoming a setter in the future...

USYD BoulderSoc is excited to announce that we are running a whole-day setting workshop with 1UP Bouldering on Sunday 3 May ‼️

In this workshop facilitated by two of 1UP’s professional setters, you will learn all the fundamentals of route setting, including:
⭐️ equipment operation and safety
⭐️ comp vs commercial setting
⭐️ movement decisions and difficulty considerations
⭐️ mapping and pre-planning routes

Most excitingly, you will work in pairs to SET YOUR OWN CLIMB, gain feedback from setters and help test other attendees’ climbs 🧗
