WHO: Everyone is welcome! Hosted by Simone, also known as SimSimSquats.

RAIN OR SHINE: We embrace all the elements, and working out in the rain can be invigorating! There’s also an undercover area available if the weather becomes too extreme. If the event is cancelled due to extreme weather, I will notify early morning of the event day on Instagram @simsimsquats

WHAT TO BRING:

• A medium-resistance booty band

• A yoga mat

• A jumper if it’s chilly

• Swimwear and a towel for an optional post-workout dip

Don't worry if you don't have a yoga mat or resistance band, I always bring quite a few so you can come and enjoy the class no matter what!

MORE ABOUT THE CLASSES:

Our sessions focus on resistance band exercises, we will do some full body, a little bit of cardio but we will be focusing on the glutes with moves like squats, glute bridges, and kickbacks. These workouts are designed to activate and strengthen the body, with each class including a warm-up, full workout, and stretching to finish. We occasionally incorporate cardio to elevate your heart rate. Whether you’re a beginner or experienced, everyone is welcome—just bring yourself (and maybe a friend).

Please note: If you have any injuries, it’s important to let me know at the start of the session. Some exercises may not be suitable for everyone, especially those with pre-existing conditions. Resistance bands add extra intensity, so always listen to your body and adjust or modify movements as needed. If you’re unsure about certain exercises due to an injury, I recommend consulting a healthcare professional before participating.

This community-based program is all about connection and movement, designed for all fitness levels.

HOW MUCH DOES IT COST?

At SimSimSquats, we aim to make sessions accessible to everyone. Our donation-based model allows you to contribute an amount that feels appropriate to you.

We also offer sessions free of charge to any First Nations people who want to join us in practicing on the land.

We acknowledge and respect the traditional custodians of the land, both past and present. We aim to act with care and give back to the land and community wherever possible.

PARKING

There is free parking available in the streets across the road from South Melbourne Life Saving Club and there is paid meter parking available along Beaconsfield Parade.

YOUR DONATION is your choice. You decide what this session is worth to you. A $15 donation usually covers the event’s expenses, and anything beyond that helps cover the time and effort put in, while also supporting those who can’t afford to pay. Much love,

Simone
