About this event

Boost Your Mood and Connection Singing With Other Mums.

Singing for mums is evidenced to improve mood, reduce stress, and enhance social connection. Join us to reap the benefits, learning easy to recall songs supporting Mum's well-being while building social connections with other Mums.

There's no sheet music, no solos, just relaxed group singing. All abilities very welcome. We're an inclusive group for mums and kids.

Our group is a mums and kids group but with the focus on mums. Kids can play in our circle of song (toys provided), toddlers often end up singing with us. Mums help mums where it's needed.

To find us easily, enter Queenwood Tennis Centre, Frenchs Forest into Maps. We'll meet in the cafe area of the Kite Centre building.

Morning tea is provided at the close of the singing.

The group is hosted my Anita Connell from Tuned In Music Therapy. Pay what you can to attend, up to $15 per session.



Frequently asked questions

I can't sing, can I still come?

100% yes. We will support your singing and we guarantee you will feel confident in your vocal ability by the end of the group sessions. We are skilled at including all abilities in our programs.

What will we be singing?

We'll be learning short songs, songs with repeated lyrics, songs with harmony, cultural songs and pop songs. Once we start up the group, members can request songs to be included too. There is no need to be able to read music to join this group.

I have a disability, can I join?

Absolutely. We are an inclusive provider of services. We welcome everyone to our circle.

Can I bring my mum along too?

Grandmothers are very welcome too. Mums 2 be are also welcome.

My child is sometimes noisy or might run around. Is that ok?

Absolutely. If your child needs a sensory or movement break, we'll include that. We will accomodate sensory needs reducing volume levels and including regulating movement. We have toys that will interest your child and encourage them back to our circle. We also have break out rooms available.
