    Slow Stitched Basketry with Lissa de Sailles

    3-hour workshop in studio

    Saturday 27 July 10:00AM – 1PM

    Join Lissa in an informal session to learn about her process in making fibre art using age-old basketry techniques and up-cycled materials. Under Lissa's guidance you will learn how to make a slow-stitched coiled basket from hand-spun cordage made from paper and cloth.

    You are welcome to bring your own materials such as tissue paper, old paper patterns, cloth strips from old clothing, buttons, metal rings, electrical cords, fruit and vegetable plastic mesh bags, or anything else you wish to experiment with.

    Threads and some materials will be provided. Please bring chenille needles, size 18, scissors, a tailor's awl (available from Spotlight)

    Beginners welcome, 18 + This is not a children's workshop.

    Adult workshop, Beginners welcome.

    $60* per student

    Cost: $60 per workshop plus booking fee
