Somatic attunement
Have you ever yearned for your partner to understand your body language, your desires and for them to read your mind?
I would like to invite you to an afternoon of somatic attunement. We will explore non-verbal attunement, understanding, and play to pleasure our partners.
As a teacher of dance for over 20 years and and tantra for almost 10, there are few things I love more than exploring embodied understanding, communication, boundaries, and connection. It doesn’t mean you will never need to use words again; rather, you will move out of uncertainty and into connection.
We will use the biomechanics of dance (you don’t have to be a dancer) as a teaching vessel: movement will be our language.
There is no need for previous dance experience, and all types of bodies are welcomed.
You can come solo or with a partner.
This will be an inclusive space; we will all lead, follow, and switch and see what works for us. More info about partnering below.
We will begin with an opening circle and consent-led initiation before we start moving and connecting.
Saturday 6th of April
The doors open at 2.45 pm with a start at 3 pm start 6 pm conclusion.
What is Somatic attunement?
In dancing, sex, play, and other nonverbal interactions with others there are a few skills that differentiate the good from the amazing is the ability to attune, connect, and lead/follow (other words could be top/bottom, or hold space/surrender).
Sometimes I say that dancers are halfway into tantra without knowing as they often guide and attune to their partner through this great skill of leading and following by communicating through the movement or pressure of a hand, or movement of the body to guide their partner in a way where they can completely surrender rather than being anxious or nervous of what is going to happen next.
Somatic attunement is taking these amazing skills and teaching you them in a different format so you can use the skills in your next nonverbal interaction regardless if it’s the dance floor, kink scene, tantric exploration, sexual interaction, or playfight.
Who is this for?
This is for everyone curious to explore connection, nonverbal interactions, sensuality, tantra, and sacred sexuality, or to improve your dancing.
It is for all genders and all sexual orientations.
It's for singles, couples, or bigger constellations.
What to expect?
- Opening circle
- Consent initiation
- Non touch based practices of nonverbal communication
- Touch based practices of nonverbal communication
- Closing circle
Can I stay with my partner?
You can stay with your partner the entire time or part of the time when we are partnered up or move around the entire time, as we will be switching a lot during the day. I highly recommend joining the swapping of partners in the beginning at least as it will help you learn so much more and faster about yourself and bring back experiences to the relationship.
Dress: Something that is comfortable enough to be on the floor, something that makes you feel happy, sensual, or relaxed, and not too warm as it can get hot in the room so down to tank tops and shorts as the least clothes for this workshop.
What to bring: A water bottle is always great and a cushion to sit on.
This is an alcohol and drug-free event.

Frequently asked questions
No, you can come alone or with friends. If you come with a partner I will encourage you not to partner up, I will tell you why in the workshop, but I wanted to give that a little heads up.
You never need to do anything that you don't want to do, honoring your boundaries is at the core being able to attune to yourself.
No, I will use some dance teachings and techniques to help the learning and play, but there will be no pure dancing happening.
