About this event

  • Event lasts 1 day 3 hours

This training will be delivered online across two sessions:

27 May 9:30am - 12:30pm & 28 May 9:30am - 12:30pm

This training will build practitioner capabilities to engage in collaborative practice and foundational elements of the Multi-Agency Risk Assessment and Management (MARAM), to promote collaborative practice for practitioners within the South-West region.

The Sexual Assault & Family Violence Centre will be delivering this training in collaboration with Emma House and Victoria Police, with facilitators delivering the training from partnering organisations.

The MARAM Collaborative Practice is a part of the suite of training under the MARAM Framework for practitioners responding to family violence.

The MARAM Collaborative Practice training is delivered online, over two half-day sessions over consecutive days or in-person across one full day.

Who should come to this training?

Phase 1 of MARAM and Information Sharing commenced in September 2018 across 850 organisations, covering approximately 37,500 professionals. These include Victoria Police, courts, family violence services, child protection, mental health and alcohol and drug services. Click here to view an overview of organisations prescribed under Phase One.

Phase 2 of MARAM came into effect on 19 April 2021 across 5,800 government and non-government organisations, covering approximately 370,000 additional professionals. Click here for an overview of organisations prescribed under Phase Two. See the ‘MARAM and Information Sharing Scheme Resources’ section below for further resources and training opportunities to support Phase 2 organisations.

This is NOT risk assessment training. You will also need to attend other MARAM training relevant to your role. MARAM training will be delivered by government departments (Brief & Intermediate’ and Screening & Identification) and by Safe and Equal (Comprehensive and Leading Alignment).

Organisations should be guided by Family Safety Victoria resources in determining the relevant roles, responsibilities and training requirements for staff.
