Our Try Shooting sessions are designed for complete beginners, but can cater for participants of all skill levels, with the aim to ensure you learn to shoot in a safe, fun, and friendly environment. No previous experience is required.

Participants need to be aged 12 years or older. If a participant is older than 12 and younger than 18, they must be accompanied by a parent or guardian, who must remain at the event for the entirity of the session. A Parent/Guardian Consent Form will be emailed to all applicable attendees and must be completed prior to participating. If the participant is under the age of 18, a parent or guardian must produce ID, as well as sign the P650 Declaration on behalf of the minor.

What do I bring to the event?

Other than the required paperwork, everything you will need is supplied by SSAA NSW, however, if you feel more comfortable using your own PPE (hearing protection and glasses) you are welcome to bring it with you. If you have dietary requirements, you may wish to bring your our refreshments.

It is preferable that you please bring your printed ticket. We will, however, accept a mobile version for viewing on the day. You must provide a copy of your ticket, as it is proof of confirmation of your booking.

Is my registration fee or ticket transferrable?

Yes. We will allow tickets to be transferred as long as there is one participant per ticket in attendance. Please contact us if you have arranged someone to transfer your ticket to. This will need to be done prior to the event. Unfortunately, refunds will not be issued.

Can I book into more than one session?

We ask that each participant books into one session per day only. This is so we can offer as many spots as possible, to as many people as possible.
