About your host
Kym Ormond is a community educator who teaches skills in food preserving and permaculture gardening. He also teaches music with councils, schools and community groups. Kym is also the co-owner of the plant nursery in Carey Gully, Nomad Nursery.

Kym's goal is to share forgotten skills that he's learnt over the years and return them from "uncommon sense" to common sense life skills. Kym started off his career in commercial kitchens before eventually finding his feet in the soil. He transitioned over to working on commercial farms, permaculture projects and plant nurseries. Kym has combined his love of gardening, sustainable living and cooking into these food preserving courses.
