Join us to learn from leaders in sustainable innovation who are disrupting 'business as usual' in their industries to create better outcomes for people and the planet.

Featuring Nick Hazell of v2food, Lucinda Hankin of Grok Ventures and Richard Adamson of Young Henrys, the 'Sustainable Innovation Speaker Series' is presented as part of the Green Sprint, a two-week mini accelerator program supported by Deep Green Biotech Hub, UTS Startups and the Macquarie Group (through a Macquarie employee fundraising initiative, matched by the Macquarie Group Foundation).

Designed to inspire the budding startups in the Green Sprint accelerator program, these bite-sized inspirational talks will be live-streamed to anyone wanting to learn about the importance and practicalities of scaling sustainable business.

About the Speakers:

Richard Adamson - Wednesday 10th March

Richard Adamson is the co-founder and Director of Young Henry’s, the inner-city Newtown brewer that is big on building community, culture and sustainability into their business. Since their first brew, the team at Young Henry’s have considered their impact on the environment, installing community rooftop solar panels, donating their spent grain to farmers and in an industry first, collaborating with researchers at the University of Technology Climate Change Cluster to use algae to reduce their climate impact.

Lucinda Hankin - Monday 15th March

Lucie Hankin is an investor at Grok Ventures, the private investment office of Mike and Annie Cannon-Brookes tasked with investing to make tomorrow today. Lucie works on Grok's private investment portfolio, where she backs technologies and teams that are solving some of the biggest climate challenges including energy, food, transport and carbon.

Nick Hazell - Wednesday 17th March

An experienced food innovator, lecturer and consultant, Nick Hazell is the founder and CEO of the Australian startup v2food. Bringing years of experience in R&D in the food, beverage and manufacturing sector, Nick is disrupting 21st century diets with affordable, tasty plant-based meat alternatives.
