Jemena and Zinfra recently completed the Port Kembla Lateral Looping project, which connected Australia’s first LNG Import Terminal to users on the east coast via Jemena’s Eastern Gas Pipeline. This presentation will outline the challenges presented in connecting LNG Import Terminals to existing pipeline infrastructure and discuss the network augmentation that Jemena is conducting to facilitate a significant new gas supply source.
Martyn Garrett is Head of Operations Terminal and Firming Assets - Squadron Energy. Martyn's team are delivering the operational readiness phase of the Port Kembla Energy Terminal, expected to be the first operational FSRU based gas import terminal in Australia during 2026. Martyn's previous experience includes Engineering, Maintenance, Operations and Capital projects within both the steel and LNG sectors, Project Director for the UK Government funded - South Wales Industrial Cluster Decarbonisation project.
Justin Anderson is Operations Manager – Gas Projects at Zinfra. Justin’s team delivers natural gas and renewable gas projects for both Jemena and external clients. Justin’s recent project experience includes the role of Project Director on Jemena’s Port Kembla Pipeline (LNG Import Terminal Connection) Project, Project Director on the Malabar Biomethane Project, Project Manager for the Atlas and Roma North Compressor Station Expansions, and Site Manager for the Construction and Commissioning of the $300m Phillip Creek Compressor Station in the NT.
