About this event

  • Event lasts 1 day 8 hours

NeiGong 內功 translates to "Internal Skill" or "Internal Development". As a practice, Neigong guides individuals through a series of transformative internal processes.

The initial stages focus on opening, aligning and cultivating the body & mind, building a solid foundation to enhance health and well-being. This groundwork prepares practitioners to awaken the largely dormant energy matrix within, a crucial step in NeiGong’s progression.

At its core, NeiGong is rooted in the ability to cultivate, mobilise, and utilise Qi (commonly translated as "energy" or "life force"). This is achieved through a series of carefully designed QiGong exercises that optimise the body, mind, and energy systems.

With these foundational aspects activated, practitioners can explore the deeper dimensions of NeiGong, encompassing martial, medical, alchemical, and meditative practices. NeiGong is best understood as a journey—a path of inner cultivation and self-discovery.

Whether you are new to the Internal Arts or seeking to deepen your practice, this two-day workshop offers a structured, practical introduction to NeiGong.

About the teachers

This workshop is brought to you by Kate and Henri Lebedev. We are both full time students at Damo Mitchell's Lotus Neigong Bali School, where we train 7 months of the year since it opened in 2023.

Prior to this, we have both studied with a number of Qigong and Martial arts teachers across Australia, New Zealand, China, Singapore, Malaysia and Thailand.

We are also final year students of Traditional Chinese Medicine & Acupuncture at the New Zealand School of Acupuncture and TCM and study at the Xian Tian College of Chinese Medicine.

Although we are still students, we have the generous blessing and encouragement from Damo to start teaching the Neigong Foundations in Australia and New Zealand, which is a great honour.
