Did you know that there’s a rock called “Elephant Rock” in Iceland?... Hang on, we know what you’re thinking and no, we’re not taking you to Iceland. We’re taking you to a place better and definitely way warmer. Join us for our T3 National Day Trip at Currumbin Beach!

We’re looking forward to seeing you there, share amazing moments, making new friends and get to know each other a little bit better, and guess what? Get the chance to take as many pictures as you wish in the Aussie Elephant Rock.


When? Sunday, October 20th (Week 5)

Where? We’ll pick you up at Bowen Tce Campus (90 Bowen Terrace, Fortitude Valley, QLD 4006) at 8:00 AM and we’ll drop you off at Bowen Tce Campus at 4:00 PM

How much? $50

(please be advised that the ticket price is NOT refundable)

What do you get? Food*, transport and on-site SRC’s activities.

*The food provided will include vegetarian, vegan and gluten free options. Attendees are welcome to bring their own snacks.

Terms and Conditions for Students Attending the National Day Trip with SRC at Currumbin Beach

  1. Trip Eligibility: Participation in the National Day Trip to Currumbin Beach organised by the Student Representative Council (SRC) is open to all currently enrolled students at Torrens University Australia.
  2. Registration and Payment: Students interested in attending the trip must register and make the necessary payment by the specified deadline. Registration fees are included in the ticket cost which covers transportation, and lunch meal costs.
  3. Health and Safety: Students must adhere to all health and safety guidelines provided by the City of Gold Coast, SRC, and TUA staff. This includes following safe zones for swimming, on-beach restrictions and any other kind of suggestions/recommendations from lifeguards and SRC supervisors.
  4. Behavioural Expectations: Students are expected to conduct themselves in a respectful and responsible manner throughout the trip. Any behaviour deemed inappropriate, including but not limited to bullying, harassment, vandalism, or substance abuse, will not be tolerated and may result in immediate dismissal from the trip at the student's expense.
  5. Supervision: SRC and TUA staff supervisors will be present throughout the trip to ensure the safety and well-being of all participants. Students are required to stay with the group and follow instructions from SRC and TUA supervisors at all times.
  6. Personal Belongings: Students are responsible for their personal belongings during the trip. SRC and TUA are not liable for any lost, stolen, or damaged items.
  7. Medical Emergencies: In the event of a medical emergency, SRC and TUA supervisors will provide assistance and seek medical attention as necessary. Students must inform SRC President of any pre-existing medical conditions or allergies prior to the trip via email solomon.otemoye@student.torrens.edu.au.
  8. Cancellation Policy: Refunds for trip registration fees will only be provided in the event of trip cancellation by the SRC. No refunds will be issued for student-initiated cancellations, except in exceptional circumstances determined by the SRC.
  9. Transportation: Students are responsible for arriving at the designated meeting point on time for departure. Late arrivals may result in missed transportation, and students will be responsible for arranging their own transportation to the destination.
  10. Parental Consent: Students under the age of 18 must provide signed parental consent forms to participate in the trip and email the SRC president. Parents or guardians will be notified of trip details and emergency contact information prior to departure. The SRC president will approve the student's participation via email.

By registering for the National Day Trip to Currumbin Beach with the SRC, students acknowledge and agree to comply with the above terms and conditions.
