ABOUT

The More Great Less Whine project received grant funding from the Australian Government and is supported by The Australian Wine Research Institute, The University of Adelaide, Wine Australia, and The South Australian Science Teachers Association.

The program aims to showcase STEM opportunities in the Grape and Wine industry, and provide an insight into the world of working with vines, grapes and wine including the science, research, technology and innovation.

In this one day workshop teachers will participate in microbiology and fermentation learning experiences which can be taken back to the classroom.

The program will be delivered at the Australian Wine Research Institute (AWRI) facility, and the vineyards at the University of Adelaide’s Waite Campus.

The program links to components of the Australian Curriculum Learning Objectives ‘Science as a Human Endeavour’, and links to the Viticulture, Wine Making and Advanced Wine Making Curriculum.
