Join horror writer Mike Lucas as he talks about his craft and the tools horror writers use to evoke the fear, terror and suspense that defines the genre. From Mary Shelley to Stephen King learn about its history, its themes and how you can create your own tale that will have the reader on the edge of their seat wondering what’s hiding in the shadows.

Mike Lucas’s second supernatural YA thriller One by One They Disappear released in May 2024 and his first YA novel What We All Saw was published in 2022 and won the CBCA book of the Year award 2023 and the Prime Minister’s Literary award 2023, along with several picture books.

Copies of Mike’s books will be available to purchase.
