About this event

Bring your scooter or bike and invite some friends to Kew Traffic School during Term 2 from Friday 2 May to Friday 4 July 2025. Children can practice their bike skills and traffic rules in the miniature village and play in the various cubby houses, mini train, tram and bus.

Bookings are required for each child riding or scooting on the track. Each booking is limited to 6 children per session per booking.

We run multiple sessions a day on a Friday.

  • 9.00am to 10.30am
  • 11.00am to 12.30pm

Children need to bring their own bicycle or scooter and helmet. It is a requirement that all riders wear a helmet. Please note that public ride sessions are a parent and caregiver supervised event. Feel free to bring a picnic rug and snacks!

Access keys, including a social story, are available to download from the Access Ability Australia (AAA) website or the AAA app, downloadable from your App Store.

Frequently asked questions

Is there coffee on site?

While there is no café on site, there are local cafes within a 3-minute drive or 10-minute walk.

If I cant make it, can I get a refund?

Yes we offer refunds on a case by case basis. You can request a refund by emailing Kew Traffic School at kts@boroondara.vic.gov.au, no later than 24 hours before your booking. You will need to supply your booking date and the name the booking was under.

Do I receive an access code to get into the facility?

Council staff will be at Kew Traffic School to greet you at the start of each session. You will need to show your ticket and confirm the booking name.

Can I buy a ticket at the gate?

We recommend pre-booking your public ride session, as tickets do sell out. Ticket purchases are not available outside of the online booking system. You can purchase tickets via the online ticket system right up until the session commences, subject to availability.
