Thank you for registering for our TMS Members Workshop –Tetra Pak Printing with Ruza Santos
Date: SATURDAY 14th June - Time: 10am – 4pm
Venue: Lions Club Hall, 8 Russell Drysdale St., East Gosford
In this workshop we will explore how we can create printable images from a common household item – the long-life milk carton! Recycling at its best.
Using etching tools, scalpels, pencils, biros, sandpaper, wire brushes, etc we will practise making marks onto a tetra pack, and examining the end results, before proceeding to create a design of your choice. Next, your design will be transferred onto another tetra pack, inked up and printed.
The aim for the day is to have created one printed sampler displaying a variety of marks made using different implements, as well as a printed image that incorporates favourite marks and textures you have created.
We will also pay special attention to applying and removing ink from the plates you create to ensure a successful print is achieved.
Materials supplied.
· 1 sheet of Canson 250gsm paper. (More can be purchased on the day if you need extra)
· tetra packs x 2
· etching tool and inks
. sandpaper
. instructional notes
What you will need to bring with you.
*2 pairs of disposable gloves
*any mark making tools you have – different writing implements – biro, pencil & ruler
*scalpel or craft knife, tweezers.
*etching tools if you have your own
*notebook and your enthusiasm
*Please wear closed in shoes
Bring your lunch.
Tea/coffee/milk/morning tea will be available at the studio.
